Widgo, Inc.
Effective date: 25 August 2026 · Last updated: 25 August 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Widgo Terms of Service. It applies to you, to everyone in your workspace, and to anyone using the Service through your account. Breaking it is a material breach of the Terms and can lead to immediate suspension or termination.
1. Do not use Widgo to break the law or harm people
You will not use the Service to:
Violate any law, regulation, sanctions programme or third-party right.
Deceive people about who they are talking to, or represent the Agent as a specific named human being.
Impersonate any person, company or brand you are not authorised to represent, or install the widget on a site you do not control.
Harass, threaten, defame, or promote violence, self-harm, terrorism or the exploitation of children.
Generate or distribute sexual content involving minors, non-consensual sexual content, or content that sexualises real people without consent.
Promote discrimination or hatred against people on the basis of a protected characteristic.
Run a scam, phishing operation, fake storefront, pyramid scheme or fraudulent offer.
Sell or promote weapons, illegal drugs, stolen credentials or stolen data.
Provide medical, legal or financial advice to consumers as though it came from a licensed professional.
2. Do not misuse other people's data
You will not:
Collect personal data through the Service without the notices, consents and lawful basis your jurisdiction requires.
Enable session replay or voice recording where recording law requires a consent you have not obtained.
Submit special category data, health information subject to HIPAA, government identification numbers, payment card numbers, financial credentials, biometric data, precise geolocation, or data about children under 16.
Upload content you do not have the right to use, or direct our crawler at a site you do not own or have permission to crawl.
Use identification or lead scoring output as the sole basis for a decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on an individual, including credit, employment, housing, insurance or access to essential services.
Enrich, resell or redistribute the company data the Service returns as a standalone data product.
3. Do not attack or degrade the Service
You will not:
Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written permission, or breach any security or authentication measure.
Access data belonging to another workspace, or attempt to.
Circumvent rate limits, plan entitlements, usage metering, the human verification step, or the "Built by Widgo" badge, including by CSS, script blocking, DOM manipulation or automated means.
Send automated traffic to inflate or deflate visitor counts, or otherwise manipulate metering.
Reverse engineer the Service, or attempt to extract source code, model weights, system prompts or training data, including through prompt injection or extraction attacks against the Agent.
Use the Service to build or train a competing product or model.
Scrape or bulk-download the Service or its output.
Introduce malware, or use the Service to distribute it.
Overload the Service, or use it in a way that degrades it for others.
4. Do not spam
You will not use data captured through Widgo to send unsolicited commercial messages in breach of CAN-SPAM, CASL, ePrivacy, GDPR or equivalent law, and you will honour opt outs promptly.
5. Responsible use of the AI Agent
You are responsible for what the Agent says on your site. In particular:
Keep your knowledge base accurate. The Agent answers from what you approve.
Do not configure the Agent to make claims you cannot substantiate, including pricing, availability, performance, compliance or regulatory claims.
Do not configure the Agent to deny that it is an AI assistant when asked directly.
Set up escalation to a human for anything the Agent should not handle.
Review conversations. Correct the Agent when it gets something wrong.
6. Reporting and enforcement
Report abuse of Widgo, including a widget you believe is being used improperly, to support@widgo.ai.
We may investigate suspected violations and may access account data to the minimum extent necessary to do so. Depending on severity we may warn you, disable a feature, throttle your account, suspend it, terminate it, remove content, or report the matter to law enforcement. Where the risk is not immediate we will normally warn first and give you a chance to fix it. Where it is immediate, we will act first and tell you after.
We do not owe a refund for a suspension or termination caused by your breach of this policy.
